Reading Incentive Collection Week
Parent Club volunteers are collecting Reading Incentive
booklets before school from February 17-20. If the kids turn in
a grand school-wide total of 2,500 hours, we'll have a Pajama
Day on Dr. Suess' birthday: Monday, March 2. Stay tuned!
Students who individually totaled up 18 hours or more of
reading time will be treated to a Sundae Party that is now
scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday, March 4. (This
date was recently reset because of a schedule conflict.)
School-Wide Book Exchange
Coming in March!
During the first week of March, Parent Club volunteers will be
collecting gently-used picture books and chapter books
before and after school for our new Book Exchange activity.
Donations from the community at large are also gratefully
accepted.
BOOKS APPROPRIATE FOR ELEMENTARY-AGE STUDENTS
ONLY, PLEASE!
Each student bringing books in will be given one “ticket” per
book up to 3 books, which they will use to “shop” at the book
exchange the week of March 16. When more than 3 books
are turned in, additional books will be considered a donation
for re-distribution within the school.
Start looking over your bookshelves now
and plan to bring in your books from March 2-5!
